How the net savings are calculated
A per-litre discount only saves money on the fuel you actually buy — and only after you've paid for the detour fuel. GazGain does three things:
- Gross savings = price gap × litres to fill (tank × empty space).
- Detour cost = extra kilometres (round-trip) × your fuel economy × price per litre.
- Net savings = gross − detour. That's the only number that matters.
